The GBU officially called an Assembly post-contest, heres what happened and why.
The GBU recently held a General Assembly on the 13th of June 2026, a month after the contest, to sort out some major problems with this contest and other contests. A few changes were made by the GBU and we will be highlighting some of the most important in this Article.
The GBU has been operating under a puppet name, to which the union did not exist before and was simply used as a name to represent the team of operations who overlook Extreme Gabevision. The GBU will be officially created as a reference group to not only manage the operations of Extreme Gabevision but also the entire operation of the Sillyvision section on the ESC Gabe Discord Server.
This change was formalized in a meeting 2 weeks before the Assembly on the 28th of May 2026, making the GBU an effective union on the day of the First General Assembly. The Operations of The GBU are headed up by the Founder/Director-General of the GBU (Bea Dwyer/Bea) along with the new Executive Supervisor we will cover later in this article. Other members of the reference group include Kat (Senior Mod), sundei (GBU Executive Producer/Mod), and Jess (Mod/HoD of LiTV)
A meeting was held on the 28th of May 2026 after a major contriversy on the ESC Gabe Discord Server where the one of the Sillyvision Contests Hosts had continuiously left his contests in charge of the previous contest winner and caused the moderators to ask ALL active Sillyvision hosts into a meeting to discuss what should be done to solve this major issue.
The Sillyvision Rulebook is the combining of all the points discussed in the meeting including the aformentioned formation of the GBU. To Summerise, the rulebook covers
Contest Approval & Basic Contest Structure
Host Responsibility & Host Limit
Inactive & Abandoned contests
Ping Rules
Originality Rules
Normal vs Special contests (e.g. EGSC is a special contest)
Location-based contests & Gimmick host-transfer contests
Entry & Song Rules
Behaviour in Contest Threads & Enforcement
Members of the GBU Reference Group
The rulebook will take effect on the 16th of June 2026 as part of the changes to how Sillyvisions are operated. (The Sillyvision Rulebook will be unavailable, we recommend you join the Gabecord in order to get access to the rulebook.)
We are unable to provide the Sillyvision Rulebook.
A brand new commentary stream has been created to fufill the role of additional addative improv commentary on top of the hosts allowing for improved audience interactions. This was decided on by the GBU members during the General Assembly. The picture attached shows the results of the poll.
Lew Ola Gong has been officially announced as the successor to Jam Ola Sand who recently left to focus on personal ventures. With the New Executive Supervisor, he expects to retain the same level of Whimsy and Silly as Jam Ola Sand.
We also officially now have a dediciated domain! Welcome gabevision.com as the brand new home for all your EGSC content! We officially moved over on the 17th of June 2026!
